Faye (Yafei) Liu
Faye Liu is an illustrator and independent comics artist whose work reflects the quiet tension between people and their environments. Using a calm, observational visual language, she explores how emotions, memories, and everyday experiences intertwine to reveal the subtle connections between our inner and outer worlds.
Through illustration and comics, Faye Liu explores the complexity of emotion with subtle humor and a reflective narrative voice. Her work has been internationally recognized by AIAP, Hiii Illustration and China Illustration Art Yearbook, and exhibited in cities across China and the United States, inviting audiences to reconsider how we relate to one another and to an ever changing world.
After obtaining BFA and MFA degrees in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Faye Liu currently works as a freelance illustrator and art educator in McLean, VA.
